;Fieseler, Christian ;Fleck, MatthesIn this paper we utilize social network analysis to examine the interaction patterns between corporate blogs devoted to sustainability issues and the blogosphere, a clustered online network of collaborative actors. By analyzing the structural embeddedness of a prototypical blog in such a virtual community, we show the potentials of online platforms for engagement with an increasingly socially and ecologically aware customer base. It is furthermore demonstrated that consumer involvement via sustainability blogs is a valuable new practice for communications and brand management and opens new horizons for communicating corporate social responsibility issues to key constituencies online. - PublicationMétadonnées seulement

;Fleck, Matthes ;Kirchhoff, Lars; Recently, blogs have gained a lot of attention as an instrument within corporate communication. There are numerous discussions and research projects in various academic disciplines about blogs creating a diffuse body of knowledge with different concepts, notions, and ideas. This paper summarises typologies from these different disciplines and tries to integrate them into a multidimensional model in which all relevant aspects and applications of blogs are considered. The results are summarised in the St. Galler blog cube. - PublicationMétadonnées seulementAuf Dokumente basierende Prozesse rationalisieren mit Document Image Processing (DIP)(1993)

;Coninck, David D. ;Frissen, Thomas ;Matthijs, Koen ;d’Haenens, Leen ;Lits, Grégoire ;Champagne-Poirier, Olivier ;Carignan, Marie-Eve ;David, Marc D.; ;Salerno, SébastienGénéreux, MélissaWhile COVID-19 spreads aggressively and rapidly across the globe, many societies have also witnessed the spread of other viral phenomena like misinformation, conspiracy theories, and general mass suspicions about what is really going on. This study investigates how exposure to and trust in information sources, and anxiety and depression, are associated with conspiracy and misinformation beliefs in eight countries/regions (Belgium, Canada, England, Philippines, Hong Kong, New Zealand, United States, Switzerland) during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data were collected in an online survey fielded from May 29, 2020 to June 12, 2020, resulting in a multinational representative sample of 8,806 adult respondents. Results indicate that greater exposure to traditional media (television, radio, newspapers) is associated with lower conspiracy and misinformation beliefs, while exposure to politicians and digital media and personal contacts are associated with greater conspiracy and misinformation beliefs. Exposure to health experts is associated with lower conspiracy beliefs only. Higher feelings of depression are also associated with greater conspiracy and misinformation beliefs. We also found relevant group- and country differences. We discuss the implications of these results. - PublicationMétadonnées seulement

The Digital Business Ecosystem (DBE) paradigm provides a concept for understanding such dynamic global businesses. However, an analysis form a business model perspective is still missing. This paper presents the case study of an envisioned Open Source decentralized negotiation platform which is currently under development. In contrast to existing negotiation platforms such as Ebay in the B2C market or Ariba in the B2B market, the negotiation platform is based on a decentralized philosophy both on technical and organiza-tional level following the DBE paradigm. The analysis is structure along seven major components according to the MCM Business Model Framework: features of the specific product or service, features for the specific medium (technology), potential customers, value chain, financial flow, flow of goods and services, societal environment. As a result, we categorize the characteristics and challenges in the different business model components providing the foundation to analyze further business ecosystems from a business model perspective.
