From incorporation to corporate changes, reorganization,
and insolvency proceedings, a corporation is infl uenced by
shareholders, stakeholders and other interested parties, each
with diff erent goals and interests.
Attending this seminar will give you insight into these infl uences.
The idea is to explore shareholder activism, corporate
governance and the infl uences of interested parties throughout
the life of a corporation, while demonstrating how these
infl uences drive the various stages.
Through a multidisciplinary approach, we will, in particular,
examine topics related to corporate governance issues for
listed and non-listed companies, minority and majority
shareholders, and other corporate, fi nancing and labor law
issues. Panels of experienced speakers will also address the
infl uences on shareholders, such as from proxy advisers,
workers, banks.
The reorganization process, so important in the recent years
of fi nancial crisis, will be discussed in a case study on a company
in distress and provide a presentation of a well-known
case to conclude the seminar.
Two full days of stimulating discussion and examination of
these topics will be of interest to litigators, corporate lawyers
and practitioners dealing with all stage of corporate life.
