Résumé
This thesis work has been done in the Particles Physics Group from Neuchâtel University and within the EXO international collaboration. It presents the EXO experiment current status and the contributions from Neuchâtel to this neutrino experiment. EXO—acronym for Enriched Xenon Observatory for double-betadecay—is aimed to study the intrinsic behavior of neutrino, particularly their Majorana or Dirac nature and moreover measure their incredibly small but non-vanishing mass.Neuchâtel played a significant role in the detector prototype development, named EXO-200,which is now almost ready for data taking andi n the BB event identification for the final version.
