The literary text is a real act of communication that connects individual or collective writers to their readers. So, through the order of books, it is possible to establish links between the library of Don Quixote de la Mancha and the library of Cervantes – that the former must partly mirror. It is also true for the output formats, the editions, the publishers, the publishing places, the dates of publication, the authors and certain literary genres such as the novel of chivalry, the pastoral novel, the epic poetry and <i>Cancionero</i>., El texto literario es un verdadero acto de comunicación que pone en relación un emisor individual o colectivo y un público. Así es como, mediante el orden de los libros, podemos relacionar la biblioteca del caballero don Quijote de la Mancha (I, 6), que debe de coincidir en gran parte con la de Miguel de Cervantes, con veintinueve libros, tres tamaños de obras, veintidós editores, once lugares de edición, veintidós fechas, veintiséis autores y cuatro géneros literarios: la novela de caballerías (44,9%), la novela pastoril (27,6%), la poesía épica (20,7%) y la lírica cancioneril (6,8%).
