Résumé
On the basis of a video corpus of verbal interactions between teacher and students in a classroom (students aged from 13 to 16 years), we propose to study rises in verbal tension. The description of situations of increased tension leads us to question interactional norms. We will deal with the following questions: how do interactional norms structure the teacher's language? Are these norms present and shared in the pupils' language? How can they increase or reduce conflicts? Can interactional norms become a tool to forestall or negotiate the rise in verbal tension?
