Este trabajo examina un soneto de Lope de Vega que encontramos en el Códice Durán, el Epistolario y el Laurel de Apolo en su contexto, justificando las referencias de Lope al jurista Francisco de la Cueva en el ambiente de las polémicas literarias del momento.

This article examines the background of a sonnet by Lope de Vega that appears in the Códice Durán, the Epistolary, and the Laurel de Apolo. In particular, we explain Lope’s references to the jurist Francisco de la Cueva in the context of the literary controversies of the time.
