Abstract
Crystals of the meso form of the title planar chiral dinuclear arene-Ru complex, are triclinic, space group P?1, with a 9.9388(11), b 12.3703(13), c 14.4034(17) Å, ? 97.105(13), ? 90.644(13), ? 105.358(12)°; Z = 2 (3/2 mol./Z), dc = 1.886; R = 0.053, Rw(F2) = 0.136 for 6090 reflections. There are one and a half independent dinuclear complexes and one CH2Cl2 mol. per asym. unit. The 1,2,4-trimethylbenzene ligands are involved in slipped-parallel ?-? stacking interactions with neighboring mols., thus forming 1-dimensional multimers along the a axis. [on SciFinder(R)]
