Abstract
Vinyl and methacrylate monomers and their corresponding polymers contg. ferrocene moieties in their mesogenic side chains showed liq. cryst. behavior. The monomers showed smectic A and smectic C phases; the polymers had broad enantiotropic liq.-cryst. phases with a disordered nature. [on SciFinder(R)]
