Abstract
Further work revealed low stability consts. for the complexes investigated. The data concerning the mesogenic behavior of [LuL2(NO3)3] in Table 1, as well as the related discussion in the text, should be deleted. The transitions reported in Table 1 for [LuL2(NO3)3] are indeed those of the free ligand L2. Complex [LuL2(NO3)3] melts at 194°C into the isotropic fluid. [on SciFinder(R)]
