Abstract
This short article presents the genesis and the main lines of a collective work meant for French teachers and to be published under the title De la phrase aux énoncés Grammaire scolaire et descriptions linguistiques (Bruxelles, De Boeck-Duculot, coll. Savoirs en pratique, April 2000). This book puts forward an inventory of school grammars and sets propositions to solve a certain number of problematical issues. The matter of verbal complements is treated among others: several typologies actually compete and tests of identification used in class often fail to work as discriminating functions. Interlinguistic viewpoint - as long as it is introduced with care and caution - seems therefore to be a possible way to lead to a more satisfying didactic approach
