La psicoterapia come dialogo per la co-costruzione di signficati etici

La provocation à l'origine de ce travail est l'affirmation de la philosophie morale. La philosophie morale affirme que le psychothérapeute accomplit une action typiquement éthique dans l'exercice de sa profession (Macintyre, 1981). Par conséquent, les questions qui guident la recherche sont liées à la nature de l'objet de soins de la psychothérapie, à la nature de l'instrument de soins et à la définition de l'éthique. L'ouvrage affirme que la maladie mentale, et donc le diagnostic et le traitement, ont à voir de manière prépondérante et incontournable à la fois avec la subjectivité du patient et la subjectivité du clinicien. Avec la première parce que ce dont parle le patient peut être ramené à la façon dont il donne un sens aux événements qu'il vit (Salvatore, Gennaro, Auletta, et al., 2010) et avec la seconde parce que chaque mot du psychothérapeute (Markova, 2016; Grossen, 2010), même le non-dit, contribue à ce processus de signification. Pour la philosophie morale (Taylor, 1989/1993; Abbà 1996), les êtres humains acquièrent une expérience morale lorsqu'ils évaluent la qualité de leurs actions. L'évaluation se fait par le choix de principes de pertinence, qui sont les principes par lesquels on donne un sens à un événement. Sur la base de cette approche théorique, le travail étudie comment le patient et le thérapeute construisent de nouvelles significations dans le dialogue clinique et comment ces significations peuvent être définies en termes d'expérience morale.

The provocation from which the work takes its start is the assertion made by moral philosophy. The moral philosophy states that the psychotherapist performs a typically ethical action in the exercise of his profession (Macintyre, 1981). Hence, the questions guiding the research are related to the nature of the object of care of psychotherapy, the nature of the instrument of care and the definition of ethics. The work states that mental illness, and therefore diagnosis and treatment, have to do in a preponderant and inescapable manner with both the subjectivity of the patient and the subjectivity of the clinician. With the former because what the patient talks about can be traced back to the way he/she gives meaning to the events he/she experiences (Salvatore, Gennaro, Auletta, et al., 2010) and the latter because every word of the psychotherapist (Markova, 2016; Grossen, 2010), even the unspoken one, contributes to this process of signification. For moral philosophy (Taylor, 1989/1993; Abbà 1996), human beings gain moral experience when they evaluate the quality of their actions. Evaluation takes place through the choice of principles of relevance, which are the principles through which an event is given meaning. Based on this theoretical approach, the work investigates how patient and therapist construct new meanings in clinical dialogue and how these meanings can be defined in terms of moral experience.
