Nouvelles recherches sur le discours rapporté : vers une théorie de la circulation discursive ?

On the basis of the traditional forms of the reported speech, we try to work out a theory of discursive circulation who articulates social praxis, transmission resources and material circulation of the speeches. We successively review linguistic markers of <i>surmarquage</i> of the chain of enunciators, discursive configurations which aim erasing this chain and at even describing the statement by its circulation and, finally, a practical case, the circulation of a gossip, going from media confidence to sociological testimony. <br> Il a toujours été permis, il le sera toujours, de mettre en circulation un vocable marqué au coin du moment (Horace, <i>Epîtres</i>, cité par Marie-Anne Paveau, 2000: 19). <br> Si les discours se répètent, c’est qu’ils sont répétés (Courtine et Marandin, 1981: 29).
