Abstract
This chapter critically investigates the spatial articulation of surveillance during the 2006 football World Cup in Germany. The analysis builds upon the understanding of the World Cup as both the product and the producer of a broader set of developments in contemporary security governance: the urbanisation, globalisation, technologicalisation and commercialisation of security and surveillance efforts and strategies.
