Abstract
After having recalled cognitive models for interpreting writing disorders following cerebral lesions of the dominant hemisphere by adults, we propose a qualitative analysis of written productions; we will then present a therapeutic method based on a visual imagery strategy, devised by de Partz and collaborators in 1992, and specifically aimed at the remediation of surface dysgraphia. We present the results of two patients who were treated by this method: the first patient presented an acquired impairment consecutive to a vascular lesion, the second was treated as an adult for a developmental disorder. Finally, we will discuss the application conditions and its limits. We shall also consider some of the differences that could be linked to the mode of acquisition of these disorders.
