Abstract
The new triple-bridged dinuclear cation [(?6-C6Me6)2Ru2(?2-Cl)(?2-H)(?2-PPh2)]+ was formed in CHCl3 from the precursor [(?6-C6Me6)2Ru2(?2-H)2(?2-PPh2)]+ and characterized as the tetrafluoroborate salt [(?6-C12H18)2Ru2(?2-Cl)(?2-H){?2-PPh2}]BF4. The single-crystal x-ray structure anal. shows the compd. is monoclinic space group P21/c and confirms the formation of the meso form. Despite the presence of two stereogenic centers, the complex is not chiral. [on SciFinder(R)]
