Article in the catalogue of the exhibition 'Max Beckmann – Apokalypse –Visionen der Endzeit in Überlieferung und Modern'. Study of three enormous canvases painted by Kokoschka and known as The Prometheus Triptych. They were commissioned by Count Antoine Seilern (1901-1978) for the entrance hall ceiling of his London house at 56 Princes Gate on Exhibition Road, South Kensington.
