Description
The criminal trial is undergoing a process of change. The standardization of the Swiss Criminal Procedure Code in Switzerland has brought important modifications with regard to the enhancement of defense rights and the strengthening of efficiency-oriented proceedings. These changes are analyzed by the research team of Prof. Dr. iur. Nadja Capus in context of the research project „The Changing Face of Criminal Procedure: Indirect Procedures of Taking Evidence and Written Records of Interrogations“ which has been approved by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). The research focus on the practice of evidence and the increasingly important role of the written records of interrogations in criminal trials.
