Usage History
Work on cesium-beam frequency standards at the LSRH began in 1958, and the first experimental apparatus entered operation in 1959. Experience gained with this instrument was subsequently used in the design and construction of the 6 m LSRH cesium beam No. 2. (Kartaschoff 1962; LSRH 1967)
In 1960, the instrument was still being used as a local comparison standard during the initial measurements of the 6 m LSRH cesium beam No. 2, together with the LSRH N15H3 maser standards. (Kartaschoff et al. 1960b)
