Résumé How can we understand people's experiences as they see a film, attend an art gallery or read a poem? How do these experiences participate to people's development?

Transitional Phenomena and Cultural Experience (T-PACE) is a project undertaken by Professor Annette Kuhn (School of Languages, Linguistics and Film, Queen Mary, University of London), who coordinated a inter-institutional, interdisciplinary, group, funded between March 2008 and February 2010 by a British Academy Small Research Grant.

T-PACE mainly explored Donald Winnicott's work on transitional phenomena, and its relevance for extending and deepening our understanding of various aspects of cultural experiences, in cultural studies and beyond.

T-PACE was a series of meeting, workshops, as well as art exploration, and culminated in the publication of "Little Madnesses" (Taurus, 2013) edited by Annette Kuhn.
