Research fields Initially trained as an applied entomologist, I joined an interdisciplinary team in charge of a bachelor in biology anthropology at the University of Neuchâtel in 2012. I now use a truly interdisciplinary toolkit inspired by natural sciences and social sciences to understand and tackle environmental problems. Being a beekeeper since 18 years forces me to ground my research in the reality of the field.

My work focuses on honeybee biology. From an ecotoxicological point of view, I am particularly interested to document the impact of systemic pesticides on honeybee populations. From a socio-anthropological point of view, I follow NGOs in development aid projects mobilizing beekeeping and honeybees as a way to alleviate economical and environmental problems in developing countries. From an agroecological point of view, I use my expertise in biological control to propose sustainable alternatives to the use of pesticides in agriculture.
